My previous entry shared links to several wonderful features from
ArtFire artisans who either focused on or included
PrettyGonzo in various informative articles. This special gift guide is my way of saying thank you to these very talented individuals, whose handcrafted creations I hope you will check out! Two other artisans who have also been supportive are also included, and the guide gift is rounded out with some goodies from my shop. To visit the shops, simply click on their names; to check out the pictured items, click on the captions (rather than the images). Please enjoy! And please consider the special value of handmade—it's the perfect way to give unique gifts that have been made with personal care and attention. This holiday season, think "outside the big box" and explore the alternative world of handmade!
It's worth visiting this shop just to see its avatar—the best ever conceived! But what
really makes this a "must-see" shop is the distinctive beauty of artisan Catherine's jewelry. Her work is earthy, organic, and absolutely stunning. Each piece is its own world, a one-of-a-kind wonder, with its own special title. The artisan's aim is to create jewelry that will be valued for years to come, and she certainly meets this goal! Please take a look!
Mortira, the artisan of The Sages Cupboard, is a powerhouse of a jewelry creator. That she also writes well and offers so many interesting articles on her blog,
Inspirational Beading, is a major bonus for anyone who handcrafts jewelry or who simply loves jewelry and finds its styles and materials interesting.
Mortira's creative jewelry work features beading that is astonishingly intricate and downright beautiful. This is also thoughtful work, which can reference tribal styles and ancient cultures. It awes me, and I'm sure it will awe you too! Please check it out!
Pam at Epicetera offers unique and imaginative handcrafted jewelry with an attitude for free-spirited women. Her fabulous designs include semi-precious gemstones, pearls, crystals, beads, and high-quality metals, and her styles range from the daringly different to the beautifully elegant. Most are one-of-a-kind beauties too! A very special shop, indeed! Be sure to stop by and take a look!
There's something wonderfully resonant of dreams and mystery in the lovely creations of Strega Jewellry. This Wiccan artisan has strong Native American and Celtic roots, and she puts a great deal of thought into the gemstones she selects for her jewelry, considering the vibration of the stones and how they will make a person feel. An impressive approach, and a beautifully intriguing artisan collection to explore!
Semi-precious gemstones, glossy pearls, and sparkling crystals are this artisan's preferences for her amazingly pretty and stylish collection of high-quality handcrafted jewelry.
Whether you need something special to wear to work or are looking for a piece that is perfect for play, Personal Oasis has a lovely answer for you! She welcomes custom orders too! Please visit this artisan's wonderful shop!
Zoomgraphik
This artisan makes unique, one-of-a-kind jewelry from sterling silver, copper, brass, wire, and whatever else will add interest to her creations. She especially loves to use precious stones, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals, and other high-quality beads in her jewelry. Zoomgraphik's creations have the look of being eminently wearable because of their versatile style, which can be quite formal or very casual. And it's always very pretty! See for yourself by visiting her shop!
ShanghaiTai is the home of gorgeous handmade dichroic pendants, lovely fused glass, and so very much more! From fun and funky to casual elegance to stylishly formal, Shanghai Tai has it all. This artisan also offers handcrafted metal clay jewelry creations and metal clay jewelry components! There's so much to see at Shanghai Tai, so please check it out!
Artisans Tina and Tammy offer jewelry in various mediums, including torched lampwork glass, pearls, and gemstones. Their techniques are varied too, and include Viking Knit and wire wrapping. I'm partial to the mother goddess creations, but there are many other "jewels" among the jewelry too. See them all at Entwined Vines!
This is a fantastic shop for anyone who makes jewelry, with gorgeous beads, jewelry findings, and so very much more! I know the beads are gorgeous, because I'm a highly satisfied customer myself. The shipping is fast, and the service fantastic. AND, what is especially wonderful about Four Corners USA is that artisan Sally also offers beautifully handcrafted jewelry. Please be sure to visit Four Corners USA and browse around!
This great shop specializes in jewelry handmade from scratch, from raw materials. Artisan Dee is a lapadarist with a complete studio, and prepares her own cabochons and other wonders for her jewelry creations - a special extra indeed!
Dee's work is highly inspired, and its beauty reflects the love and excitement this artisan finds in her work! Read her bio, and you'll get excited too! Please don't forget to check out All Wire Up Too. It's a unique shop and not to be missed!
This is my ArtFire shop! I've recently expanded into bracelet making (which I love!), but earrings are by far the main type of handmade jewelry at Pretty Gonzo. I'm drawn to a wide variety of gemstones, crystals, and other materials, and always have some point of inspiration in mind when I work. My earrings are also quite affordable, and earring-wire conversion to clip ons is offered at no extra cost. Please have a look!
I so hope that you have enjoyed this special gift guide and that you will have fun link-clicking and browsing these wonderful handmade creations! It's been such an honor for me to have the support of these immensely talented artisans, and I am so happy to share their work with you! Happy holiday handmade shopping!
Sincere wishes to all for the very best during this holiday season from Gonzo and me!
